Location

You can use your device location or choose a city manually. Your location is used to calculate prayer times, determine the Qibla direction, and show a city label.

When Awan Salah requests prayer times, coordinates are sent over an encrypted connection to the AlAdhan API operated by Islamic Network / Mamluk LLC. Awan Salah does not operate an account or analytics server and does not receive or retain a server-side copy of your location. The API provider’s processing is governed by its own terms and practices.

If you enable automatic travel updates, iOS can notify the app after a significant location change so the schedule can be refreshed. Awan Salah does not create a location-history timeline. You can turn automatic updates off or choose a manual city at any time.

Manual city search uses Apple’s mapping services to return suggestions. Apple’s handling of those requests is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Notifications and alarms

Prayer reminders and supported prayer alarms are scheduled on your device using Apple system services. Awan Salah does not use a remote notification server.

Information stored on your device

Your preferences, selected location or city, recent prayer schedules, and widget information are stored locally in the app’s private storage and shared app-group container. Removing the app removes this local app data, subject to normal device backup behavior.

Accounts, advertising, and analytics

Awan Salah has no user accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, social features, or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can change or revoke Location, Notifications, and Alarm permissions in iOS Settings. You can also switch to a manual city and disable travel updates inside Awan Salah.

Children

Awan Salah is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised policy and effective date will be posted on this page.
